Meet the Doctor

Walt Stinson, DDS

Having grown up in East Tennessee, Dr. Walt Stinson has a passion for the Lakeway Region. He received his bachelor’s degree from Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, Tennessee, and then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2013 from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry, where he was the recipient of the Southeast Academy of Prosthodontics Award for Clinical Excellence.

Following graduation, Dr. Walt opened Morristown Family Dentistry to provide care to patients of all ages. He has taken many hours of continuing education in all areas of dentistry and enjoys the variety of challenges a general practice provides.

By evaluating emerging dental methods and technologies, Dr. Walt can provide the best level of care while maintaining an emphasis on patient comfort.

Dr. Walt and his wife, Laura, are lifelong residents of the Lakeway community and have two beautiful daughters and one son they are raising on their beef cattle farm in Jefferson City. They are passionate about Christian community involvement, including their partnership at True Life Church in Jefferson City.

Dr. Walt Stinson understands the importance of proper dental care and gives back to the community to increase access to care. He offers an Annual Free Smile Makeover at Morristown Family Dentistry. The event is a fun opportunity to transform a person’s life with a beautiful new smile.

In addition to the Free Smile Makeover, Dr. Walt regularly volunteers at First Love on Main. This organization serves the Lakeway area by offering free medical and dental care to low-income residents of Hamblen County. Our assistants and hygienists join too in order to give back and support the community. Dr. Walt and his team enjoy these special opportunities to provide care and glowing smiles
